Bowler’s Responsibilities
All bowlers will be required to wear pants and matching shirts during all competition. No skirts, shorts, cutoffs, spandex, sweat pants, or any torn items. Bermuda shorts will be allowed but ask your coaches the definition of a “Bermuda” short! NO hats will be worn during competition.
NO headphones, I-pods or cell phones are permitted on the bowler’s person at any time during competition. (any electronic devices)
No smoking will be allowed!
No profanity or vulgarity will be tolerated. First infraction of this rule is a warning, second infraction will result in the student being removed from competition that day.
Fighting or physical contact will be a reason for disciplinary action. First offence will be an automatic suspension of one complete match by all parties. Second offense will be an automatic suspension from match play for the remainder of the season.
Bowlers will show good sportsmanship and consideration of others during all practices and competitions.
Lane courtesy will be observed at all times.
All High School rules and regulations still apply.
Any rule not covered will be covered under the USBC.
Coach & Sponsor Responsibilities
Bowlers must be students at the school they are bowling for.
Bowlers must attend school on the day of the match in order to compete.
Bowlers must be passing at least 3 / 4 of their current classes.
Bowlers must be in the proper grade level.
Bowlers bowling with our program cannot accept any monies larger that $75 at any given event (example: starlite bowling)
Any other money must be given in trophies or scholarship.
Roster sheets must be submitted to Jimmy by 10/19/09
Any changes to rosters must be submitted one week prior to the next scheduled match.
The “visiting” coach will enter in their lineup first. “Home” coach will enter in their lineup second. If there is a vacant spot you must tell the opposing teams coach at the beginning of the match.
Each coach is required to keep a score sheet. Both coaches are required to sign and date the opposing teams score sheet directly after each month. The score sheets are to be given to Jimmy at the completion of that day’s competition. If you like you can email Jimmy the score sheet. Jimmym@buffaloelanes.com
Each school can have no more than 2 coaches in the bowling area at any time. No parents/family/friends of the bowlers are permitted in the bowling area during competition.
Any rules/situation not covered above will be covered by USBC.
Format
Each team will consist of a maximum of 12 boys and 12 girls.
Competition will consist of both regular games and baker games, for a possible total of 57 points. Format will be 2 games of regular bowling (3 on 3 matches) and 3 games of baker style bowling.

Total pinfall for each trio team game is 1 point each game (4)

Substitutions in both regular and Baker games are allowed. Once a bowler is removed he/she cannot reenter the game. During regular games, the bowler who bowls the first frame gets credit for the game for average purposes.
Absent/Vacancy bowlers: If a team has a full roster but has a bowler that doesn’t show up your bowler must bowl within 10 pins of their own average to win the point. If they don’t the point goes to the other team.
Competition will be scheduled to begin at 3:30, or as soon as all schools are present. Matches should not take more than 2 hours.
End of year County tournament format
Singles: 2 games/top 4 bowlers will bowl stepladder
Baker: 3 games/top 3 teams will bowl stepladder
(at the county finals we will be handing out all season awards and recognizing the teams bowling in the State Championships)
