: The Saturday Morning Bowlers will bowl on Saturday
mornings starting 9/6/08 and ending 12/13/08. They will bowl a total of 14
weeks. There will be one week in the season that there is no bowling (11/29/08).
Practice will start promptly at 9:15. Competition will follow at
9:30.
Fees
: There will be a weekly fee of $7 which will include
bowling for that day and shoe rental if needed. The registration fee that
was paid upfront will cover any days that you are absent, prizes and
trophies, and goodies for the fun-filled last day of the season.
Tardy Players
: If a player does not make the 9:30 competition time
you may still enter the first game if the team you are bowling with has not
made it past the 4th frame. If they are past the 4thframe, you will not be able to bowl until the second game.
Daily Activities
: Every bowler will begin competition at 9:30a.m.
They will bowl a total of three games against an opposing team. Each bowler
will have an average that they will establish based on your first week of
bowling. Handicap will be added to each bowlers score based on 90% of a
200 avg. to "level the playing field" for everyone.
Absentee
: If you are absent, your team will receive your average
score every game minus 10 pins as a penalty for missing. You do have
the opportunity to "make up" the day in advance if you know you will not be
here. "Pre-bowling" will be allowed as long as it is done at Buffaloe
Lanes Cary, while lanes are available. I recommend calling in advance and
asking. "Post-bowling" is also allowed as long as it is done by the
Friday before the next bowling week.
Conduct
: All bowlers must be properly dressed every Saturday. You
are competing in a sporting event! There should be no need for skirts above
the knees, baggy pants below the waist line, or sports bras and
undergarments visible. There will be a zero tolerance policy for
unsportsmanlike conduct, swearing or breaking the dress code.
